The Walrus Oyster & Ale House
Takes its name from the Lewis Carrol poem The Walrus and The Carpenter, offers eastern shore-inspired all-scratch cooking. The showcase Walrus shucking bar is the area's largest selection of east coast oysters with 12 delicious bivalves to satisfy your cravings.

The capital wheel

You'll feel like you're sitting on the top of the world as your soar 180 feet above the Potomac River waterfront. Visible sights include the National Cathedral, Washington Monument, Masonic Temple, City of Alexandria, Prince George's County and lush parklands throughout the DC-Maryland-Virginia region. General admission is $15 plus tax or VIP experience admission is $50 plus tax.

Potomac Riverboat

The Potomac Riverboat Company operates the water taxi service connecting The Wharf, Georgetown, Alexandria's historic waterfront and National Harbor. The Potomac Riverboat Company also offers sightseeing tours including the Monuments Tour, Mount Vernon Cruise, Alexandria Seaport Cruise and Canine Cruise for your furry friends. National Harbor is home to more than $10 million in public art. From your entrance to your departure, there is something to see at every turn.

The American Way

A collection of statues that feature icon people and images of America's history.

Approaching by boat you will be welcomed by J. Seward Johnson's "The Awakening" emerging from the sandy beaches just as the city emerges from the Potomac River.

Just steps from Belvedere, Cheryl Foster's "Maryland's Bounty" is comprised of two panels made of stained glass mosaic with medium symbolizing Maryland's tie to the Chesapeake Bay.

Albert Paley's "The Beckoning" towers 85 feet into the sky as you drive into National Harbor. Paley's "The Eagles" is two 4,500 lb stainless steel eagles with wingspans fourteen feet each atop 60 foot poles is located down National Harbor's main thoroughfare.

Steven Weitzman created a spectacular terrazzo mural that resides at the end of American Way on the Belvedere before visitors descend the Spanish Steps to National Harbor's waterfront. This 1,600 square-foot terrazzo portrays the history and geography of Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C.  

Located on the banks of the Potomac Ricer is Norman Greene's stature "Five in the Wind".

"Maryland's Winners" is comprised of two panels, first depicts the only farther and son duo to win the Triple Crown and the other depicts the three oldest skipjack boats in the Maryland fleet.

Tool de Force, once housed at the National Building Museum, represents some of the tools used in the industry. Sculpted by David Stromeyer.

The National Harbor shopping scene has something for everyone with a delightful blend of over 160 retailers. Tanger Outlets include Pandora, Samsonite, Gap Factory Store, Polo Ralph Lauren, Coach, Under Armour, Michael Kors, Vince Camuto, Nike Factory Store, J. Crew Factory Store and more.

MGM National Harbor

The newest addition to the waterfront, MGM National Harbor is a luxury resort offering retail, dining, entertainment and gaming. Take in a show in the 3,000 seat theater, try our luck in the casino, dine at one of the 14 restaurants and bars or enjoy the night away in one of the nightclubs.

National Harbor Circulator

National Harbor's newest mode of transportation circulates between the area's hot spots 7 days a week. Sunday - Thursday 11:00 am - 10:00 pm and Friday - Saturday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Stops include downtown National Harbor (St. George Blvd and Waterfront St), Gaylord National, Tanger Outlets and MGM National Harbor. Cost $5 for all day pass.
